How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job Title: Group Finance Director
    Location: Isle of Man
    Package: Up top £45k for 3 days a week (open to discussion), hybrid working, bonuses, clear progression, and more
    Working Hours: Part time 3 days a week, becoming full time in the near future

    A hugely exciting position is available within a growing logistics group, as a Group Finance Director. This firm provide specialist UK and European road freight, sea freight, air freight, and customs solutions to businesses across the UK and Internationally

    As the business continues to grow, they are setting up a new office in the Isle of Man, and are seeking a Head of Group Finance, who is commercially minded, to play a crucial role in building the finance function from scratch, and developing it in the long term. If you are a commercially savvy Finance Manager, then look no further, this is a great opportunity!

    Group Finance Director Job Responsibilities

    Take ownership of group cash flow, working capital, debtor management, management information and financial performance, reporting directly to the Board.
    Lead a hands-on credit control function, managing aged debt, customer collections, payment issues and credit-risk exposure.
    Build strong relationships with customer accounts teams, resolving invoice queries, disputes, pricing issues, credit notes and documentation requirements.
    Develop proactive processes to improve debtor days, cash conversion and customer payment performance, while identifying recurring issues and implementing solutions.
    Develop and maintain rolling cash-flow forecasts, monitoring receipts, supplier liabilities, funding requirements and relationships with banks and finance providers.
    Lead the review of existing factoring arrangements, assessing and negotiating potential invoice discounting facilities and managing any transition.
    Develop high-quality management information and financial reporting covering revenue, margins, profitability, cash flow, debtors, budgets and forecasts.
    Partner with the Board on commercial decision-making, providing analysis around pricing, margins, customer opportunities, investment, funding and acquisitions.
    Provide group-wide financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, financial controls and performance monitoring across the wider business.
    As the group grows, build and develop the finance team and infrastructure, transitioning from a hands-on role towards greater commercial and strategic leadership.Group Finance Director Job Requirements

    The role is well suited to an experienced Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Head of Finance, or Finance Director
    ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or significant equivalent experience
    Should have an excellent understanding of cash flow and working capital, credit control and management accounting
    Confidence dealing directly with customers and senior management, and working directly with directors
    Strong commercial and analytical abilityGroup Finance Director Salary & Benefits

    £45,000 for working 3 days a week. This will increase as the role becomes full time. Salary is also open to discussion
    Hybrid working, as the office is set up, you will work remotely
