How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role Description

    The Marketing Intern role is an internship position based in Glasgow, with a 80% remote working arrangement that allows some tasks to be completed from home. On a day-to-day basis, the intern will support the planning and promotion of events, assist with social media content creation, and help execute marketing campaigns aimed at university students and the growth of the company.


    Responsibilities include conducting basic market research on student preferences, engaging with students online and in person to promote events, and contributing ideas for marketing strategies and campaign themes. The role will also include general to help maintain brand consistency across platforms, and collaborate with the wider team to ensure events are well-attended and effectively communicated.


    Qualifications


    • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with students, respond to inquiries, and represent the brand professionally.
    • Ability to conduct Market Research to understand student interests, trends, and feedback for continuous improvement of events and content.
    • Foundational knowledge or interest in Marketing Strategy and Sales to support campaign planning, promotions, and ticket or service uptake.
    • Interest in social media, events, and student culture, with a creative mindset for generating engaging content and promotional ideas.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with good time management and reliability in a hybrid work environment.
    • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a university program; prior experience in marketing, events, or student societies is beneficial but not required.
