The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

    Mobile Maintenance Electrician Glasgow & Surrounding Areas £37,289 Basic + £2,535 Standby + £1,500 Competency Payment | £41,324 Package After Training | OTE £45,000 - £50,000+ Paid Travel Time | Overtime at 1.5x / 2x | Van with Private Use | 33 Days Holiday | Private Healthcare An experienced Mobile Maintenance Electrician is required to join an established Facilities Management business, covering retail sites across Glasgow and the surrounding areas. This is a mobile electrical maintenance role carrying out planned and reactive works across a long-term retail contract. You'll be working across multiple sites in your allocated area, dealing with everything from routine electrical PPM through to reactive faults and general building maintenance. The basic salary is £37,289 plus £2,535 in standby payments. Following completion of additional electrical fault-finding training on catering and bakery equipment, you'll also receive a further £1,500 competency payment, taking the package to £41,324 before overtime. With paid travel time, overtime at enhanced rates and a 1 in 4 call-out rota, engineers typically earn £45,000 to £50,000+, depending on overtime uptake. The Role Working as part of a regional FM team, you'll be responsible for electrical maintenance across a portfolio of retail sites throughout Glasgow and the surrounding area. The work is a mixture of planned preventative maintenance, electrical fault finding, reactive repairs and general building services maintenance. You'll manage your own jobs across your allocated sites, while also working alongside other engineers and technicians where larger maintenance or repair work requires additional support. Additional training is provided on the electrical side of commercial catering and bakery equipment, giving you the opportunity to broaden your fault-finding experience and earn the additional £1,500 competency payment. Key Responsibilities

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance across electrical systems and equipment.
    Attend reactive electrical faults and breakdowns.
    Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs where possible.
    Carry out minor electrical installation and remedial works.
    Maintain electrical and associated building services equipment across retail properties.
    Carry out routine inspections and compliance-related maintenance.
    Assist other engineers with larger maintenance and repair jobs when required.
    Complete PPM and reactive jobs within agreed timescales.
    Update the Mercury job management system with accurate, live job information.
    Complete all maintenance records and documentation accurately.
    Travel between retail sites throughout Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
    Participate in the 1 in 4 call-out rota.
    Work safely and in accordance with current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements.
    What You'll Need

    NVQ Level 3 / SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Maintenance or equivalent recognised apprenticeship.
    18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
    Previous experience working as a Maintenance Electrician, Mobile Electrician, Electrical Engineer or FM Electrician.
    Good electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
    Experience carrying out PPM and reactive electrical maintenance.
    Comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
    Full UK Driving Licence.
    Previous Facilities Management or commercial maintenance experience would be beneficial.You don't need previous experience working on catering or bakery equipment, as additional electrical fault-finding training is provided.

    This particular contract covers multiple retail locations across the Glasgow area, providing engineers with a stable workload and an established regional maintenance team.
    There's also a good level of technical training available, including specialist electrical fault-finding training on catering and bakery equipment rather than expecting engineers to already have that experience when they join.
