How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Contracts Manager (Groundworks)
    Solihull, nationwide site travel
    £55,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Van + Fuel Card + Training + Progression

    This is great opportunity to join a growing subcontractor delivering projects across the civil and commercial sector across the UK, who are offering a genuine long-term opportunity in an ambitious business with clear progression into senior leadership.

    Are you a Project or Contracts Manager with experience managing groundworks projects and are looking for a new opportunity? Do you want to join a growing business with a great culture where you can progress your career both technically and professionally?

    This expanding subcontractor operates across the country delivering projects across the commercial and civil sector, including shopfitting and groundworks for major blue-chip and Tier 1 contractors. The business is actively growing and is looking to pivot into main contracting in the next few years, so now they are adding to their close-knit team with this fantastic opportunity.

    As Groundworks Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple projects at any one time, ensuring programmes are followed, resources are organised and any project issues are dealt with effectively. The role will involve regular communication with clients, site teams and internal stakeholders, alongside nationwide site travel depending on project requirements.

    Therefore, the ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with proven experience managing groundworks projects and is looking for a long-term opportunity to progress their career and is happy and willing to cover sites nationwide.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious subcontractor where you'll work with a plethora of blue-chip and Tier 1 contractors on groundwork projects, while having a clear pathway to senior leadership.

    The Role:

    Managing nationwide groundworks projects
    Managing around 5 projects concurrently depending on value
    Organising labour, resource and materials for upcoming projects
    Overseeing RAMS and programs to ensure projects are where they should be
    Based out of their office in Solihull with nationwide site travelThe Person:
