How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are looking for dedicated, adaptable and resilient Supply Primary Teachers to work across Primary/SEMH settings, supporting children who may have social, emotional and mental health needs, behavioural difficulties, SEND or other barriers to learning.

The successful teacher will be confident stepping into different classroom environments, quickly establishing positive relationships with pupils and maintaining a calm, consistent and supportive approach.

This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys variety and wants to make a positive difference to children who may require a more individualised and nurturing approach to education.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Deliver engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons in line with the school's curriculum and provided planning.

    * Quickly establish positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff.

    * Create a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment.

    * Adapt teaching and activities to meet individual pupils' needs and abilities.

    * Maintain clear expectations, routines and boundaries.

    * Use positive behaviour management strategies to encourage engagement and learning.

    * Respond calmly and appropriately to challenging or dysregulated behaviour.

    * Support pupils with emotional regulation and encourage positive social interactions.

    * Follow individual pupil support plans, behaviour plans and risk assessments where required.

    * Monitor pupil engagement and progress and provide appropriate feedback to school staff.

    * Maintain accurate records and complete relevant handover information.

    * Follow safeguarding, child protection, health and safety and school policies.

    * Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, teachers and senior leaders.

    * Be flexible and responsive to the changing needs of the setting.

    * Contribute positively to the wider school environment and maintain professional standards at all times.

    Essential

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent.

    * Primary teaching experience.

    * Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.

    * Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

    * Ability to adapt quickly to different schools, classrooms and pupil needs.

    * Calm, patient and consistent approach.

    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    * Ability to build positive relationships quickly.

    * Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

    * Ability to remain professional and resilient when faced with challenging situations.

    Desirable

    * Previous experience working with pupils with SEMH needs.

    * Experience in SEND, alternative provision or specialist education.

    * Knowledge of trauma-informed or attachment-aware approaches.

    * Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.

    * Understanding of emotional regulation and positive behaviour support
