How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Previous press brake experience is not essential. If you're practical, comfortable working around machinery and have the right attitude and aptitude to learn, full training and support will be provided.

    The Role

Working within the fabrication department, you'll be trained to:

Set and operate CNC press brake machinery

Select and set tooling for different jobs

Read engineering drawings and job instructions

    Produce accurate sheet metal components

Use measuring equipment and carry out quality checks

Work with mild steel, stainless steel and galvanised materials

Identify and resolve basic production issues

The company operates Amada and LVD press brakes, and you'll work alongside experienced colleagues while developing your skills.

    About You

We're interested in candidates with some previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, automotive or workshop environment.

    Your background could include:

Machine Operator | Production Operative | Fabrication Operative | Laser Operator | Punch Operator | Sheet Metal Worker | Engineering Operative | Automotive Production | CNC Operator

You don't need to be an experienced Press Brake Setter.

    What matters is that you:

Have some manufacturing, engineering or workshop experience

    Are practical and mechanically minded

    Are comfortable working with machinery

    Have good attention to detail

    Take quality and safety seriously

Are reliable and keen to learn

Want to develop your technical skills

Any experience reading engineering drawings, using measuring equipment or working with fabrication machinery would be advantageous.

    Pay & Benefits

    £18.50 per hour

    Permanent night shift

Weekday overtime paid at time and one-third

Up to 2 hours' overtime per day available during the week

Saturday overtime paid at time and one-half, with a full day potentially available

25 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays

    Pension after 12 weeks – 4% employee / 5% employer contribution

Full CNC press brake training and development

Permanent position with an established UK manufacturer

This is an excellent opportunity if you're currently working in manufacturing or engineering and want to step up from a general machine or production role and develop a skilled CNC fabrication career.

Experienced Press Brake Operators are also encouraged to apply.

Apply today for further information and a confidential discussion.

Applicants must have unrestricted right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
