How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you a passionate Psychology graduate or undergraduate with ambitions of becoming an Aspiring Educational Psychologist? If you're looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience before progressing to postgraduate study or pursuing a career in Educational Psychology, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step.

    A welcoming school in Chippenham, Wiltshire, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Aspiring Educational Psychologist to support children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD.

    The Role

    As an Aspiring Educational Psychologist, you will:

    Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support to children with a range of SEN and additional needs.
    Build positive relationships with pupils and create a safe, inclusive environment that promotes learning and wellbeing.
    Observe and identify barriers affecting children's learning, behaviour, communication and emotional development.
    Support pupils with emotional regulation, confidence, resilience and positive social skills.
    Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and specialist professionals to support pupil progress.About You

    The ideal Aspiring Educational Psychologist will have a degree or be studying towards a degree in Psychology or a related subject, alongside a genuine interest in child development, SEN and educational wellbeing. You will be patient, compassionate and resilient, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

    Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential. Most importantly, you will be motivated to understand the individual needs of children and passionate about helping them achieve their potential.
