Year 6 Teacher – Full Time

Primary School | DN2 | September Start | Until June 2026

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the DN2 area from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced primary teacher, or an ECT, to join a supportive school and play a key role in preparing pupils for and supporting them through their Year 6 SATs.

The Role
Full-time Year 6 teaching position
Starting in September
Role is likely to continue until June 2026
Supporting pupils with their learning and preparation in the lead-up to SATs
Providing focused support and encouragement during the SATs period
Planning and delivering engaging, effective lessons
Working closely with colleagues to ensure pupils are well supported
Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievementThe School

The school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher who can build positive relationships with pupils and help them achieve their full potential during an important year of their primary education.

Experience of teaching Year 6 and SATs preparation would be advantageous, but ECTs are welcome to apply.

We Are Looking For
A qualified teacher or ECT with QTS
Experience within a primary school setting
Strong classroom management and organisation skills
A positive and engaging approach to teaching
Confidence supporting pupils in preparation for SATs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
