How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Systems & Applications Lead (FTC)

    Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE)
    Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract (up to 18 Months)
    Location: Central London
    Working Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid

    This is an exciting Business Systems & Applications Lead opportunity for a motivated digital professional to take ownership of key business applications, drive user adoption, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation. Working closely with stakeholders, external suppliers, and technical specialists, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing digital capabilities, improving business processes, and ensuring colleagues maximise the value of core platforms including Microsoft 365, CRM systems, and other business-critical applications.

    This role would suit someone with a strong blend of business engagement, application support, stakeholder management, and digital transformation experience who enjoys delivering meaningful improvements that positively impact users and organisational efficiency.

    Your Roles and Responsibilities

    * Act as the primary point of contact for business users regarding digital applications, ensuring a professional and responsive service.

    * Work closely with stakeholders to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement across digital platforms.

    * Support and promote the effective use of Microsoft 365, CRM platforms, event management systems, and other business applications.

    * Gather and document business requirements, user journeys, and process improvement opportunities.

    * Translate user needs into change requests, enhancement proposals, and practical digital solutions.

    * Coordinate with third-party suppliers, managed service providers, and technical specialists to resolve issues and deliver successful outcomes.

    * Manage application-related incidents, service requests, and enhancement activities from initiation through to resolution.

    * Support testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), release validation, and change management activities.

    * Develop user guides, knowledge articles, training materials, and adoption resources.

    * Identify recurring issues, recommend process improvements, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

    * Promote best practice in governance, data quality, information security, and GDPR-compliant working.

    * Support the responsible adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-powered workplace tools.

    Your Experience and Skills:

    * Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.

    * Experience working in a business-facing applications, business systems, digital workplace, or continuous improvement role.

    * Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and experience supporting the adoption of digital applications.

    * Proven ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    * Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technology solutions.

    * Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.

    * Experience working with SaaS applications, CRM platforms, and business systems.

    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

    * Understanding of data governance, information security, and GDPR principles.

    Desirable

    * Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or Power Platform Fundamentals.

    * Experience with Microsoft Copilot or other workplace AI technologies.

    * Exposure to Power Automate, Power Apps, or low-code automation tools.

    * Experience supporting reporting, data quality initiatives, or CRM data management activities.

    * Experience within professional services, membership organisations, education, charity, heritage, or similar environments.
