How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 ASD & Speech Support – Barnet

    Location: Barnet, North London
    Pay: £100–£115 per day
    Contract: Full-time, long-term
    Start Date: September 2026

Enrich Education Recruitment is working with a welcoming 3-form-entry primary school in Barnet seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Key Stage 1 pupil with autism and speech and language needs.

The pupil benefits from clear routines, visual support and an adult who can break learning into manageable steps while encouraging communication and independence.

This is an excellent opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant looking to join a well-supported school for the academic year.

    The Role

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will:

    *

Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day

    *

    Support communication and language development

    *

Use visual resources and clear routines

    *

Break classroom activities into manageable steps

    *

    Support transitions between activities

    *

    Encourage interaction with peers

    *

Help with emotional and sensory regulation

    *

Deliver targeted literacy and communication activities

    *

    Promote confidence and independence

    Essential Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

    *

Experience supporting children with ASD or SEN

    *

    Confidence providing 1:1 support

    *

A calm, patient and consistent approach

    *

    Good communication skills

    *

The ability to adapt activities and instructions

    *

    A reliable and professional attitude

    *

    Availability for a full-time, long-term position

Experience with PECS, visual timetables, now-and-next boards, speech and language interventions or sensory strategies would be particularly useful.

    The School

This is a friendly 3-form-entry primary school with an established SEN team and experienced Teaching Assistants across the year groups.

Staff work collaboratively and Teaching Assistants are well supported by class teachers and the SENCO. The larger year-group structure means you'll have other teachers and support staff around you, rather than working in isolation.

The school has good transport links and is easily accessible from Finchley, Hendon, Mill Hill, Edgware and surrounding North London areas.

Enrich Education Recruitment is committed to safeguarding children. All successful applicants will be subject to relevant compliance checks, including an Enhanced DBS, right-to-work checks and satisfactory references.

    Apply Today

If you're an SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term role in Barnet, apply today with your CV and Enrich Education Recruitment will be in touch
