How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Site Manager – Civils | Data Centre | Enfield

    Location: Enfield, London

    Sector: Data Centres / Civil Engineering

    Employment: Permanent or Freelance

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a major data centre project in Enfield, overseeing the delivery of the civils package on a large-scale, high-value development.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Site Manager with a strong civil engineering and infrastructure background who is confident managing site operations, subcontractors and site teams within a demanding project environment.

    The Role

    As Senior Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the civils works, ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme, quality and client requirements.

    You will work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team to coordinate site activities and drive the project through to successful completion.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and manage the day-to-day delivery of civils works

    Manage site teams, subcontractors and specialist contractors

    Coordinate site activities to ensure works remain on programme

    Oversee groundworks, reinforced concrete, drainage, utilities and associated civils

    Monitor progress and report against programme

    Ensure all works are delivered to the required quality standards

    Maintain excellent health & safety standards across the site

    Coordinate with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives

    Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates

    Identify and resolve technical and construction issues

    Manage short-term planning and lookahead programmes

    Ensure RAMS are understood, followed and regularly reviewed

    Support the successful handover and completion of the project

    About You

    The successful candidate will have:

    Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager / Site Manager within civil engineering

    Strong experience delivering major civils or infrastructure projects

    Experience working on data centre, industrial, commercial or similarly complex schemes would be highly advantageous

    Strong knowledge of groundworks, reinforced concrete, drainage and utilities

    Proven experience managing subcontractors and site teams

    Strong understanding of construction programmes and site logistics

    Excellent communication and leadership skills

    A strong focus on health, safety, quality and delivery

    Relevant construction qualifications, with SMSTS and First Aid essential
