Position Overview: I am seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Sittingbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, with experience in managing costs and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for various construction projects.
- Carry out risk assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability.
- Monitor project financials, including tracking expenses and providing reports on budget compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
- Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers to secure the best terms.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
- Maintain and update project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and budgets.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction costs, budgeting, and financial management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and cost estimation software.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
