Section Engineer

Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join a major highways project in East London. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery in the early stages of one of the UK's most significant civil engineering schemes, working alongside a leading Tier 1 contractor on complex and technically challenging works.

Responsibilities

Managing engineering activities across designated sections of work.

Supporting the delivery team to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to programme.

Reviewing drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.

Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs and quality documentation.

Managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities.

Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design and quality requirements.

Maintaining site records, QA documentation and as-built information.

Supporting junior engineers and site teams.

Requirements

Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Previous experience as a Section Engineer on major infrastructure projects.

Strong background in heavy civils, highways, structures, earthworks or utilities.

Experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors.

Competent with setting out, quality assurance and temporary works processes.

CSCS Card essential.

SMSTS preferred.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
