How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Anderson Knight Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing organisation within a technical environment. As the business continues to expand and invest in its future capabilities, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training Lead to join the team in a newly created role.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and drive the learning and development agenda from the ground up, playing a key role in building workforce capability and supporting long-term business growth. This role forms part of a small HR team and is based onsite full time.

    The Role

    As Training Lead, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the organisation's learning and development strategy, ensuring employees have the skills, knowledge and support required to succeed in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

    Working closely with leaders across operational, engineering and corporate functions, you will identify training needs, design effective development programmes and create clear pathways for employee growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish learning frameworks, influence organisational development and help embed a culture of continuous improvement.

    Balancing strategic planning with hands-on delivery, you will become a trusted partner to stakeholders across the business and play a pivotal role in developing current and future talent.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Develop and implement the organisation's learning and development strategy

    * Partner with business leaders to identify current and future capability requirements

    * Conduct training needs analysis and create development plans aligned with business objectives

    * Design, deliver and evaluate engaging training programmes across technical, operational and professional disciplines

    * Coordinate internal and external learning activities across the organisation

    * Support talent development, succession planning and career pathway initiatives

    * Create and maintain training materials, resources and learning content

    * Manage relationships with external training providers and learning partners

    * Measure and report on training effectiveness through feedback, performance metrics and business outcomes

    * Maintain training records and ensure compliance with relevant industry and regulatory requirements

    * Champion a culture of continuous learning, development and knowledge sharing

    * Stay up to date with learning technologies and best practice to drive innovation in training delivery

    About You

    We're looking for a passionate and proactive learning professional who enjoys building capability, influencing stakeholders and making a tangible impact within a growing organisation.

    You may currently be working as a Training Lead, Learning & Development Partner, Learning & Development Adviser, Training Manager or similar, and will have experience delivering learning initiatives within manufacturing, engineering, production or other technical environments.

    You will bring:

    * Experience developing and implementing learning and development strategies

    * Experience of Training within a highly technical environment

    * A strong background in designing and delivering engaging training programmes

    * Knowledge of talent development, succession planning and workforce capability initiatives

    * Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills

    * Experience facilitating workshops and training sessions for a variety of audiences

    * The ability to analyse training requirements and translate them into practical solutions

    * Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to driving improvement

    A qualification in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Organisational Development or a related discipline would be advantageous, and professional qualifications such as CIPD are desirable.
