How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Technical Reports Supervisor (Ground Investigation/Geospatial)

    Are you a Technical Reports Specialist or similar from a Geospatial background looking to join an industry leading business who can expand your portfolio with multi million pound projects such as Historic Gravesend Pier and Lincoln Cathedral?

    This company is a leading geospatial and ground investigation consultancy delivering accurate survey data, underground utility mapping, and site investigation for construction, infrastructure, and property development projects across the UK.

    This role would suit a Technical Expert from a Geospatial background with experience writing Utility reports.

    This role:

    Taking full responsibility for the Utility Report Department, including output, quality, workflow and service delivery
    Managing the collection, organisation and review of digital plans, utility asset information and supplier records
    Using online supplier portals, web forms, email requests, databases and digital platforms to obtain, record and manage utility information
    Liaising with utility suppliers and internal teams to ensure information is received and processed efficiently
    Leading the continued development and improvement of the service to ensure sustainable growthThe Person:

    Experience in utility reports, utility searches, technical reporting, geospatial data, or a closely related technical/data-driven environment
