How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quantity Surveyor (Social Housing)
    Wimbledon, sites across London, Home Counties and Portsmouth
    £65,000 - £75,000 + Car Allowance or Mileage + Hybrid Working + Excellent Career Growth

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and goal-driven subcontractor within the Social Housing sector. You'll play an active role in the business's continued success, with a clear opportunity to progress into a Commercial Manager role.

    Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience in the Social Housing sector, looking for a new opportunity? Do you want to play a key role in a company's growth, help build a team and further develop your career?

    This growing subcontractor operates across London and the Home Counties, covering a wide range of sectors including Residential, Commercial and Public. With the majority of their work focused within the Social Housing sector, the business is looking to move into main contracting over the next few years. They are therefore looking to add to their dynamic team with this exciting opportunity.

    In this role, you will be responsible for managing existing contracts and supporting the acquisition of new contracts. Key responsibilities include pricing jobs, managing variations, completing take-offs and ensuring all monthly payments are processed. You will also liaise with clients to ensure smooth project delivery and assist in resolving any issues that arise.

    The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and driven Quantity Surveyor who wants to actively contribute to business growth, with previous experience working within the Social Housing sector and strong communication and negotiation skills.

    This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious subcontractor working across the public and private housing sectors, within a role where you can be at the forefront of company growth and progress professionally into a Commercial Manager.
