How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a leader in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This is a pivotal role in supporting the design, manufacture, and delivery of aerospace products that meet stringent customer and regulatory requirements. You will play a crucial part in developing, implementing, and continuously improving quality systems, processes, and tools, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

    Main Duties:

    Govern key business metrics demonstrating compliance to AS9100/AS13100/ISO9001, customer, and regulatory requirements
    Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPA), Product and Process audits to industry standards (e.g. ISO9001, AS9100/9110/9120, CAA, EASA etc.)
    Review First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102
    Identify and mitigate quality risks throughout the value stream, ensuring product safety and reliability
    Ensure accurate and timely documentation of quality records, inspection reports, and compliance evidence as per aerospace industry requirements
    Provide quality support to the value stream(s)
    Ensure containment for concerns are implemented and drive root cause, corrective actions using effective problem resolution methodologies such as 8Ds
    Maintain, analyse, and drive performance of key quality metrics (e.g., First Pass Yield, defect rates, audit findings) across the value stream
    Lead quality performance improvement initiatives internally and externally
    Roll-out and support the implementation of the Zero-Defect programme to reduce DPPM
    Actively engaged in Kaizen events
    Drive quality performance and compliance, meeting aerospace standards and regulatory/customer requirements
    Conduct assurance and maintain the Business Management System (BMS) in line with AS9100, AS13100, and regulatory standards
    Oversee incoming quality to ensure materials meet specifications, supporting supplier performance through collaboration, risk assessment, and problem-solving
    Monitor and report quality metrics, using data to drive corrective actions
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues
    Address customer quality concerns promptly to maintain satisfaction and trust

    Job Requirements:

    Essential:

    Working knowledge and experience of Part 21 subpart G, ISO9001, AS9100, and AS9102
    Ability to read and interpret regulations, airworthiness directives, and technical specifications
    Comprehensive understanding of and ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
    Awareness of human factors principles, just culture, management system requirements, and applicable regulations
    Relevant work experience in aeronautical or equivalent industries
    Relevant engineering or technical degree, or equivalent qualification acceptable to the competent authority
    Knowledge of relevant aircraft or components from training courses or on-the-job experience
    Experience in problem resolution processes such as A3 or 8D and Root Cause Analysis tools
    Proficient in APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, Root Cause analysis
    Proven experience and success in Continuous Improvement best practices, such as Lean, Six Sigma
    SAP or similar MRP system experience
    IT literateDesirable:

    AS/EN/JISQ 9100 Lead Auditor Certified
    Comprehensive knowledge of part 21/part 145 and AS9100/AS13100
    Knowledge and experience in Safety Management Systems
    Extensive experience in a similar role within the Aerospace or Automotive industries
    Understanding of Calibration systems
