How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant
    Location: Ketley, Telford, TF1
    Contract: Long-term
    Day Rate: £108 - £120
    Start Date: September 2026
    Commutable From: Wellington, Telford, Oakengates, Dawley, Shifnal

    The Opportunity:
    Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Ketley from September 2026.

    This is a full-time role supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working closely with class teachers and SLT to provide tailored support for children with a range of additional needs. The school is committed to delivering an inclusive education where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with SEN and enjoys working as part of a collaborative and supportive school team.

    Your Key Responsibilities:
    * Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils across KS1 and KS2
    * Support children with a range of SEN, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
    * Deliver targeted interventions linked to EHCP outcomes and individual learning plans
    * Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual pupil needs
    * Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
    * Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and social development
    * Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, parents, and external professionals
    * Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

    Requirements:
    * Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a primary or specialist setting
    * Experience working with pupils across KS1 and/or KS2
    * Good understanding of Autism (ASD), ADHD, and additional learning needs
    * Strong communication and behaviour management skills
    * Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
    * Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
