How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Estates Surveyor | Telecoms

    Solihull | UK Wide Travel

Shape the Future of the UK's Digital Infrastructure.

Gleeson Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a leading telecommunications infrastructure organisation to recruit an experienced Estates Surveyor.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist Estates team responsible for a substantial portfolio of telecommunications assets across the UK and Ireland. Operating at the heart of the UK's digital connectivity network, the business manages thousands of sites and continues to play a critical role in supporting mobile and wireless infrastructure nationwide.

Reporting to the Head of Estates, you will manage a varied portfolio of transactional and property management matters, working closely with internal stakeholders, landlords, solicitors, surveyors and customers to maximise value across the estate.

    Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of estates transactions, delivering commercial outcomes and securing best value for the business.
Lead negotiations relating to lease renewals, rent reviews, freehold acquisitions, assignments and other property agreements.
Undertake property management activities across a large UK and Ireland estate portfolio.
Support network rollout projects by advising on property agreements and securing landlord consents.
Manage external agents, solicitors and consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Prepare business cases and undertake detailed property due diligence.
Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, local authorities, customers and key stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate property risks to ensure the continued operation of the portfolio.
Provide support and guidance to junior surveyors within the team.

    About You:

We are keen to speak with Surveyors who can demonstrate:

MRICS qualification, not essential, however desirable, APC support on offer.
Strong estates and property management experience.
A strong understanding of the Electronic Communications Code (ECC) and the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954.
Proven experience delivering lease renewals, acquisitions, rent reviews and assignments.
Experience preparing instructions for solicitors and managing complex property negotiations.
Knowledge of the telecommunications site market and wider telecoms infrastructure sector.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
A commercial and solutions-focused approach to estate management.

Telecommunications property experience and knowledge of property regimes across the UK and Ireland would be particularly advantageous.

    What's On Offer?

This is an opportunity to join a leading telecommunications infrastructure business responsible for a nationally significant property portfolio across the UK and Ireland. You'll work at the heart of the digital connectivity sector, supporting critical infrastructure projects while managing a varied mix of estate management and transactional work.

Offering a high degree of autonomy, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders, external advisers, landlords and industry partners, helping to shape estate strategy and deliver commercial outcomes across a complex operational portfolio.

Alongside exposure to specialist telecoms property matters, including the Electronic Communications Code and large-scale infrastructure programmes, the role offers genuine opportunities for professional development, increased responsibility and long-term career progression within an expanding organisation.
