How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Michael Page are delighted to have been instructed to support a long standing client in their search for a Financial Accountant.

    This Financial Accountant role in Coventry is all about managing financial reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards within the business services industry.

    You'll play a key part in the smooth running of the accounting and finance department.

    Our client is a growing organisation in Coventry and looking to add a Financial Accountant to their finance team.

    This is a fantastic opportunity in Coventry for someone who is qualified with a background in Practice or Industry.

    The successful Financial Accountant will have strong Financial Accounting experience.

    This is a hybrid position in Coventry.

    A qualification in either ACCA, CIMA or ACA is essential.

    Description

    Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
    Business partnering with internal stakeholders.
    Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
    Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
    Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain accuracy.
    Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
    Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
    Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and analysis.
    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.Profile

    A successful Financial Accountant should have:

    A professional accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g, ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
    Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
    Experience in preparing financial statements and handling audits.
    Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
    Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
    Good communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
