How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Qualifying Supervisor – Overview

    You’ll play a key leadership role within the business, taking responsibility for quality standards, accreditations, surveying and designing of jobs. Your work in this role will allow the director to focus on growing and expanding the business, and you will grow with it. This multi-award winning Glasgow based renewables company have won “Solar PV Installer of the year” for three consecutive years and quality rather than quantity is the most important rule in the business, which is probably why they have over 150 five-star reviews.

    This role be split between the office and on the road. As Electrical QS, you’ll take the lead on the technical side of the business, being responsible for ensuring technical standards are upheld, on both the electrical and the roofing elements of installs. You will carry out spot inspections, audits and help to onboard and train new and existing installers.

    You will also attend customer sites to carry out surveys and design of Solar PV and Battery Storage systems which they can train you up on. They work across city rooftops to remote islands - in fact they recently completed installs on Isle of Arran and the Isle of Skye, so you can expect breathtaking scenery on some days! They only work with private customers or new build clients with the majority of their work being domestic however they also cater for commercial sites such as farms, warehouses and similar.

    You’ll lend you expertise to other area’s of the business such as job scheduling and advising how a job needs to be set up with the scheduling team or occasionally jumping on the tools to fix an emergency fault. However, they have also removed some of the leg work from this role such as DNO applications which are handled by the admin team.

    You’ll be the glue to the business and taking these responsibilities off the Director’s plate will allow him to focus on increasing sales and revenue. There is a bonus linked to this of up to £10,000 per annum for you when you help the company to hit their next revenue targets.

    Electrical Qualifying Supervisor – Requirements

    * Previous experience at QS level

    * Experience maintaining accreditations with MCS, NICEIC

    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)

    * Previous solar PV, battery storage, or EV charger installation experience

    Electrical Qualifying Supervisor – Salary & Remuneration

    * Salary circa £50,000 + Bonus (OTE £60,000)

    * Profit Related Bonus (up to £10,000 per year)
