How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a prominent player in the power utilities and distribution sector, is currently seeking an OHL Contracts Manager to join their dynamic team. This Focuses on overseeing contracts related to overhead lines within power distribution networks.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Managing and overseeing contracts related to overhead lines (OHLE) for power distribution networks
    Ensuring all projects comply with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
    Coordinating with stakeholders, including DNOs, to ensure successful project execution
    Supervising on-site activities and providing leadership to site teams
    Monitoring project timelines and budgets to achieve timely and cost-effective delivery
    Preparing and presenting project progress reports to senior management
    Identifying and mitigating risks associated with overhead line projects
    Maintaining strong client relationships to foster continued business opportunities

    Job Requirements:

    Experience in managing overhead line (OHL) projects within the power utilities sector
    Knowledge of working with DNOs and understanding their requirements
    Expertise in overhead line systems, specifically LV and 33kV
    Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and team members
    Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
    High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
    A relevant qualification in electrical engineering or a related discipline
