About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Marine Civil Engineering Project Manager to join a specialist marine construction and civil engineering organisation delivering complex infrastructure projects across the South of the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically competent and commercially astute professional who is comfortable managing challenging marine environments and leading projects from planning and mobilisation through to successful completion.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering marine civil engineering works involving ports, harbours, jetties, quay walls, marine structures, and associated infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of marine civil engineering projects.
Lead project planning, programming, delivery and close-out activities.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client stakeholders.
Prepare and manage project documentation, programmes and reports.
Monitor commercial performance and support cost control activities.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and industry best practices.
Manage marine operations and associated project risks.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
Lead site teams and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery.
Essential Experience
Candidates must demonstrate experience working within marine civil engineering environments and be confident managing projects involving:
Diving operations
Jack-Up Barges (JUBs)
Pontoons and floating plant
Complex lifting operations
Marine construction activitiesExperience within any of the following would be highly advantageous:
Ports and harbours
Quay walls
Jetties
Marine piling
Bridge structures
Coastal and maritime infrastructure
Marine temporary works
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should meet one of the following criteria:
Option 1
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience within marine civil engineering project delivery.
Option 2
Minimum 15 years' experience as a Site Manager, Site Agent or Senior Site Manager within marine construction or marine civil engineering environments.
