How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Sheet Metal Worker 
    Permanent, Full-time 
    Dukinfield, Cheshire

    I am working with a well respected growing business who are looking for a Sheet Metal Worker to join their fabrication team.

    As the Sheet Metal Worker you will play a key role in interpreting engineering data and transforming raw materials into complex, high-tolerance components, working strictly in line with aerospace quality and compliance standards.

    Sheet Metal Worker 
    Key Responsibilities

    • Manufacture, form, and assemble aerospace sheet metal components, including ducting, pipework, and structural fabrications
    • Work with a range of materials including aluminium, stainless steel and titanium
    • Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions
    • Carry out accurate marking out, cutting, forming, and finishing operations
    • Use hand tools, press tools, rollers, and forming equipment to produce high-precision parts
    • Ensure all work complies with AS9100 quality standards and customer specifications

    Sheet Metal Worker 
    Skills & Experience Required
    • Proven experience as a Coppersmith / Sheet Metal Worker within aerospace or high- spec manufacturing
    • Background working with precision sheet metal and fabricated assemblies
    • Experience handling aerospace-grade materials such as aluminium, stainless steel or titanium
    • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation
    • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 
    • Experience with inspection tools and basic measurement techniques
    • Knowledge of aerospace ducting and pipework assemblies
    • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to right-first-time quality
    • Strong work ethic with pride in craftsmanship
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
