How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

When you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources, and help it become a better place for everyone. It's why we're looking for someone who's just as committed as we are, to push for genuine change and bring our ambition of Ecological Transformation to life.

We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.

    What we can offer you:

    - Access to our enhanced company pension scheme

    - 25 days holiday with opportunity to purchase additional holiday

    - Discounts on a range of well known retailers and such things as groceries

    - Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to

    - 24 hour access to a virtual GP, 365 days a year, for you and family members in your household

    - One paid days leave every year to volunteer and support your community

    - Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential

    - Stream - Employee financial well-being support: early access to your earned pay, savings, budgeting, financial coaching & rewards.

This is a pivotal senior leadership role where you'll shape the future of workplace health and safety. You'll work at the executive level, reporting directly to our Chief Risk & Assurance Officer, leading transformational change that protects our workforce and strengthens our business resilience.

    What you'll be doing:

Leading Strategic Change: Design and implement comprehensive organisational strategies to prevent musculoskeletal injuries, occupational illness, and key health risks across all UK & Ireland businesses

Driving Excellence: Establish long-term health and injury management strategies that embed prevention, early intervention, occupational hygiene, and effective return-to-work programmes

Building High-Performance Teams: Lead and mentor 0-3 direct reports and influence up to 24 indirect reports, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Partnering with Stakeholders: Collaborate with operational leaders, clinicians, and external providers to ensure compliance, quality service delivery, and robust governance

Advising at the Top: Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Committee, providing strategic insights on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and workforce trends

Championing Compliance: Ensure accurate, timely reporting to regulators and deliver actionable intelligence for executive decision-making.

If you're a visionary health leader with the strategic acumen, stakeholder influence, and operational expertise to transform workplace health and safety, we want to hear from you.

    What we're looking for:

    Essential:

Degree in a health-related field (health management, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy) OR extensive industry experience in a similar senior role

Proven track record in leading occupational health, risk management, and accident/incident investigation

Demonstrated success delivering change and improvement programmes - a strategic thinker with the ability to create implementation plans and drive organisational change

Strong experience working at senior level in a collaborative, matrix environment, with business acumen combined with financial management capability
