How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Home-based / Midlands | £60,000–£65,000 + £7,200 car allowance + all travel paid + bonus + benefits

We’re seeking an experienced Fire Safety Manager to take a lead role in shaping and maintaining fire safety standards across a large, multi-site, national hospitality business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fire safety professional with a background in the fire service and / or commercial experience across hospitality, retail, property or facilities to take on a high-profile Fire Safety Manager role. You’ll act as the organisation’s fire safety subject matter expert, providing trusted technical advice while balancing regulatory compliance, risk and commercial considerations.

    Key responsibilities

    * Lead statutory fire safety compliance and provide expert technical guidance.

    * Develop and maintain a risk-based fire safety dashboard and annual fire safety plan.

    * Investigate fires and significant near misses, identifying root causes and preventative actions.

    * Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors, auditors and the Fire Service Primary Authority.

    * Oversee Fire Risk Assessments, statutory notices, audits and compliance activity.

    * Support major fire safety projects, property investment and technical specifications.

    * Conduct risk-based site visits and provide clear reporting and recommendations to senior leadership and Board level.

    * Champion a proactive fire safety culture through training, best practice and continuous improvement.

    About you

    * You’ll ideally hold Level 3 Fire Safety Certificate and a Level 4 Fire Safety qualification for complex premises, with strong experience assessing fire risk across licensed premises, with a good understanding of BS9999 and Building Regulations.

    * Excellent communication, influencing, project management and analytical skills are essential, alongside a current driving licence and willingness to travel nationally based on operational need.

    * This role is home-based with UK travel. The ideal candidate will be based within 2hrs drive of Solihull.

You will be entitled to a company car or £7,200 car allowance + 4% pension contribution (Aviva) + PMI Partner + 3x Life insurance + bonus (up to 25%) + 25 days holiday (option to buy 5 additional days) + bank holidays + various discounts and perks. This role is home-based, so all travel costs will be paid as business expenses.

Ideal base locations include: Birmingham, Staffordshire, Herefordshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, East Wales, Shropshire, Cheshire, Buckinghamshire
