A welcoming specialist school in Trowbridge, Wiltshire is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support children aged 5-16 with Autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, communication needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. This SEN Teaching Assistant role offers invaluable hands-on experience working alongside experienced teachers, therapists, psychologists, and specialist SEN professionals in a nurturing educational environment.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one and small group support, helping children access learning in a way that meets their individual needs. You will adapt classroom activities, encourage communication and social interaction, promote independence, and support children with emotional regulation throughout the school day.
