How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Your new company
    Hays HR is delighted to be partnering with a private sector organisation based in Glasgow to recruit an HR Business Partner. This is an excellent opportunity to join a values-driven organisation undergoing significant organisational development and transformation activity.
    Working as part of a professional HR function, you will partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic and operational people solutions that support business objectives, workforce planning and organisational performance.
    Your new role
    As HR Business Partner, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to implement the organisation's people strategy and drive a high-performance culture across your business area. You will provide expert HR advice, coaching and challenge to leadership teams while ensuring people practices align with organisational goals.
    Key responsibilities will include:
    - Partnering with senior leaders to deliver people plans and HR strategies.
    - Leading and supporting organisational change initiatives, including restructures and workforce transformation projects.
    - Providing expert advice on talent management, succession planning and employee development.
    - Coaching and influencing managers on complex people matters.
    - Delivering pragmatic and commercially focused HR solutions that support organisational objectives.
    - Supporting senior appointments, reward initiatives and early careers programmes.
    - Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and wider HR specialist teams.
    - Working collaboratively across the organisation to implement consistent HR best practice.
    - Supporting effective employee relations and stakeholder engagement activities
