Working closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams, you will support both new product introduction and existing process optimisation, using data-driven analysis to improve performance and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, control, and improve ceramic shell manufacturing processes.
* Monitor and report process performance, KPIs, CTQs, and process capability.
* Analyse process data and implement corrective actions to maintain stability.
* Lead root cause investigations and drive continuous improvement activities.
* Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and technique cards.
* Support new product introduction and process validation activities.
* Manage improvement projects from concept through implementation.
* Maintain raw material approvals and work with suppliers to improve quality.
* Support operator training, audits, and process compliance activities.
* Promote safe working practices and support quality initiatives.
About You
* Significant experience within ceramic shell manufacturing or similar manufacturing
* Strong understanding of shell room operations, refractory materials, binders, slurry control, pH, SG, and gel testing.
* Skilled in process improvement, root cause analysis, and statistical problem-solving.
* Experience using quality and continuous improvement tools, ideally Six Sigma and Minitab.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Desirable
* Knowledge of wax, autoclave, firing, and casting processes.
* Experience with Kawasaki robot programming.
* Understanding of automated shell line technology.
* Project management experience and knowledge of change control systems.
