Fox Morris Group are delighted to be supporting Gloucestershire County Council in the recruitment of an experienced School Improvement Lead to provide strategic leadership across the county's education improvement programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior education leader to lead the Council's School Improvement Team, working with schools, academies and partners to improve educational outcomes for children and young people across Gloucestershire.
About the Role
As School Improvement Lead, you will provide strategic leadership for the Council's school improvement programme, leading a team of experienced Performance Advisers to support, challenge and intervene where required to drive educational excellence.
Working closely with Education Psychology, Advisory Teaching, Inclusion Services and wider education partners, you will ensure a collaborative approach to improving school performance and fulfilling the Local Authority's statutory school improvement responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Gloucestershire's School Improvement Strategy across maintained schools.
* Manage and develop a team of experienced Performance Advisers.
* Lead challenge, support, intervention and prevention activity for schools causing concern.
* Drive school improvement to ensure positive educational outcomes for all children and young people.
* Work closely with Education Psychology, Advisory Teaching and Inclusion Services to deliver joined-up support.
* Oversee quality assurance processes and commission appropriate school improvement support.
* Lead the delivery of training and development programmes to improve educational standards.
* Ensure the Council meets its statutory responsibilities for school improvement and educational provision.
* Build strong relationships with Headteachers, Trust Leaders, Governors, Ofsted and wider education partners.
* Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on education performance, risks and improvement priorities.
About You
We're looking for an experienced senior education leader who can demonstrate:
* Significant leadership experience within School Improvement or Education Leadership.
* Experience leading and managing Performance Advisers or equivalent school improvement professionals.
* A strong track record of improving educational standards across schools or academies.
* Excellent knowledge of the education landscape, school accountability and improvement frameworks.
* Experience working strategically with Headteachers, MATs, Governors, Ofsted and wider education stakeholders.
* Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
* The ability to influence, challenge and support schools to improve outcomes for children and young people
Salary description
£350.00 - £550.00 per day
