How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Night Maintenance Engineer £58,000 | Monday to Friday Late Shift (16:00-02:00) | Permanent | Attleborough

    This isn't one of those - this is a lesser known food manufacture.

    We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Night Maintenance Engineer to join a successful food manufacturing business investing in its people, equipment and continuous improvement. Working a fixed Monday to Friday late shift (16:00-02:00), you'll enjoy a consistent routine with your weekends free while supporting a modern, automated production facility.

    The Role

    You'll be responsible for ensuring production runs efficiently by:

    Responding quickly to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
    Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
    Fault-finding across conveyors, automated production and packaging equipment.
    Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
    Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.

    What We're Looking For

    NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.
    Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
    Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
    Manufacturing, FMCG or food production experience.
    Ability to read electrical schematics.
    Welding experience (MIG/TIG/ARC) is advantageous.
