How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Engineer

    Newcastle | Up to £60,000 + Outstanding Benefits

    We're recruiting for a global engineering organisation seeking a Project Engineer to join their Manufacturing Engineering team.

    This is a specialist engineering role focused on the planning and coordination of heavy lifting, transportation and packing operations for large offshore products. Working alongside manufacturing and project teams, you'll engineer safe, efficient movement of large structures using equipment such as SPMTs, gantry cranes, reel drive systems and specialist lifting solutions.

    The Role

    * Plan and coordinate heavy lifting and logistics activities for complex engineering projects.

    * Develop engineering methods for transporting, handling and packing large offshore products.

    * Support manufacturing readiness and project delivery.

    * Produce engineering documentation, procedures and scope of works.

    * Lead continuous improvement and process optimisation projects.

    * Participate in engineering risk reviews and change management.

    * Coordinate specialist contractors and lifting activities.

    About You

    You'll ideally have experience within offshore, subsea, heavy engineering or manufacturing and possess a Mechanical, Manufacturing or similar engineering background.

    Experience with heavy lifting, transport engineering, SPMTs, gantry cranes, rigging, manufacturing engineering or project engineering would be highly advantageous.
