Telehandler

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting an experienced telehandler driver to join an ongoing residential development in Middlesbrough.

This is a long-term, ongoing position with a major housebuilder, offering consistent hours for a dependable operator. You will be managing site logistics, unloading deliveries, and ensuring materials are distributed efficiently across live plots to keep sub-contractors and site trades moving without delay.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operating a telescopic handler across a busy, fast-paced new build housing site.
Unloading delivery vehicles and neatly storing and distributing materials (bricks, blocks, timber, roof trusses, joinery packs).
Supporting sub-contractors, trades, and site management with scheduled lifts and material movements.
Conducting daily plant inspections, recording daily maintenance checks, and keeping the machine clean and operating safely.
Adhering to strict site health and safety guidelines, particularly maintaining pedestrian segregation and safe loading procedures.
Stepping off the machine during quieter periods to assist with general site housekeeping, ensuring compound and traffic areas remain clean and organised.

The Requirements:

Valid CPCS or NPORS Card with Telescopic Handler category (Essential).
Proven experience operating a telehandler on a new build housing development.
Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
Full UK driving licence.
High standard of health and safety awareness on live residential sites.
Strong communication skills, punctuality, and a reliable work ethic.
Based in or within easy commuting distance of Middlesbrough.
