How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Join Wiltshire College & University Centre and help shape the future of students studying UAL Creative Media Production & Technology programmes for 16–19-year-olds. You'll deliver engaging learning experiences across Film & Digital Media, equipping students with the practical, technical, and creative skills they need to progress into higher education or the creative industries.

    Whether you're an experienced Media lecturer or a skilled industry professional ready to move into teaching, this is an exciting opportunity to share your expertise in a supportive, creative environment. You'll encourage students to develop their confidence, creativity, and technical ability while working on exciting projects that reflect the media industry.

    We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience in Further Education (FE), schools, or the creative industries. If you have a passion for Film, Video Production, and Digital Media—and want to inspire the next generation—we'd love to hear from you.

    Please note: This is a Variable Hours (Bank) position, with teaching hours dependent on 2027 student recruitment.

    What You'll Do

    * Teach and assess students studying Creative Media Production & Technology programmes, with a focus on Film & Digital Media

    * Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons in Film, Video and Media Production

    * Develop schemes of learning, lesson plans, and assessment strategies that support outstanding learner achievement

    * Support students through enrichment activities, live industry projects, external events, and community collaborations

    * Provide pastoral support and contribute to student enrolment and induction

    * Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and professional practice

    * Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding learner experience

    What You'll Bring

    * A degree or higher technical qualification in Media, Film, Moving Image Production, or a related subject

    * Industry experience or teaching experience in Film, Video Production, Digital Media, or Creative Media

    * Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop

    * Practical knowledge of camera operation, filming techniques, and live production processes

    * A passion for helping learners achieve their full creative potential

    * Teaching qualifications are welcomed but not essential—we welcome applications from industry professionals looking to move into education
