Shot Blasting Operative
Location: Sittingbourne
Pay: £15.85 per hour
Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm
We are currently recruiting for a Shot Blasting Operative to join a busy industrial environment in Sittingbourne. This is a hands-on position working with metal components, preparing surfaces to the required standard and supporting the wider production team.
The role offers a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with previous shot blasting or relevant industrial experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operating shot blasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces
* Preparing and finishing components to the required specification
* Working with materials and components up to 5 metres in length
* Inspecting finished work to ensure quality and consistency
* Identifying and reporting any issues with components
* Supporting the wider production team with additional duties when required
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
* Following all company health and safety procedures
Requirements:
* Previous experience in shot blasting or a similar industrial environment
* Experience working with large metal components would be beneficial
* Good attention to detail and a focus on quality
* Comfortable working in a hands-on and physically demanding environment
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking
* Able to work effectively as part of a team
