How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Paint Sprayer

    Location: Worcestershire
    Pay Rate: £13.49–£15.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
    Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

    A leading engineering manufacturer supplying into critical industries is looking for an experienced Paint Sprayer to join their skilled production team.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing business, working on high-quality components used across demanding engineering projects. You will play an important role in delivering consistent finishes to exacting standards while working within a professional manufacturing environment.

    The Role

    As a Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for applying wet paint finishes to components, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with customer specifications.

    Your duties will include:

    * Applying wet paints to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish

    * Mixing paints accurately to the required ratios

    * Preparing components and production workpieces for painting

    * Following paint specifications, gloss levels, and thickness requirements

    * Using gloss and thickness measurement equipment to check finishes

    * Maintaining a safe working environment by following COSHH, PPE, and health & safety procedures

    * Managing workload effectively to keep production schedules on track

    * Working independently while supporting wider production requirements

    About You

    The successful candidate will have:

    * Previous experience in wet paint spraying (industrial or automotive)

    * Experience working with spray equipment and paint preparation

    * Knowledge of safe working practices, including COSHH and PPE requirements

    * The ability to follow technical instructions and produce consistent results

    * A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently

    Desirable Experience

    * Paint spraying certification

    * Experience using gloss (Gu) and dry film thickness (DFT) meters

    * Experience within engineering, manufacturing, automotive, rail, aerospace, or defence environments

    * Flexibility to support different shift patterns when required
