How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HR Business Partner | Leading Operational Business | Solihull - Hybrid | £60K plus £5K Car Allowance

    Gleeson Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading UK organisation to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, influencing senior stakeholders and driving strategic people initiatives. Supporting a range of business functions, you'll play a key role in delivering an ambitious people agenda that supports business growth, organisational change and employee development. This role offers a fantastic blend of strategic partnering and hands-on operational HR, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and making a visible impact across the business. This role is full time, permanent and offers hybrid working with occasional travel to sites, offering a £5K car allowance on top of the salary.

    The Role

    As HR Business Partner, you'll work closely with senior leaders to deliver pragmatic HR solutions that enhance business performance and support the wider People strategy.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Partnering with senior stakeholders to provide commercially focused HR support and challenge.
    Driving organisational design, workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
    Supporting managers to build high-performing, engaged and inclusive teams.
    Leading on complex employee relations cases and providing expert employment law advice.
    Working alongside HR Advisors on escalated employee relations matters.
    Supporting organisational change programmes, restructures, redundancies and TUPE activity.
    Partnering with Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development teams to attract, retain and develop talent.
    Delivering key annual people processes including pay reviews, bonus cycles and engagement surveys.
    Leading and contributing to wider HR projects that support continuous improvement and business transformation.
    Building strong relationships with shared services teams to continually enhance the employee experience.About You

    We're looking for an experienced HR professional who can confidently influence at all levels and combine commercial awareness with a genuine passion for people.

    You'll ideally have:

    Previous experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a complex organisation.
    CIPD qualification.
    Strong generalist HR knowledge across employee relations, organisational development, talent management and change.
    Experience managing complex employee relations cases, restructures, redundancies and TUPE.
    Excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation.
    Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
    A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
    Good analytical skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.Desirable:

    Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or another project-led environment.This is an excellent opportunity to join a values-led organisation with a strong focus on people, development and continuous improvement.
