How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Scottish law firm, is seeking an experienced Family Law Solicitor to join its Glasgow office as a Salaried Partner.


    This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior Family Law specialist looking to take on a strategic leadership role within an established and successful department. The successful candidate will inherit a strong and varied caseload, lead an existing team, and play a key role in shaping the future direction, growth, and development of the Family Law offering.


    The role will involve:

    • Managing and developing an established team of family law professionals.
    • Handling a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, financial provision, child law, cohabitation disputes, and separation agreements.
    • Providing leadership and support to team members while maintaining high standards of client service.
    • Building and strengthening relationships with existing clients and professional contacts.
    • Contributing to business development activities and identifying opportunities for departmental growth.
    • Driving the strategic direction and long-term success of the Family Law department.


    The ideal candidate will:

    • Be a qualified Scottish Solicitor with significant Family Law experience.
    • Have a strong technical background and experience handling complex family law matters.
    • Demonstrate proven leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Possess excellent client relationship and business development skills.
    • Be commercially minded with a genuine interest in growing and developing a department.
