How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Summary:

We are looking for an organised and proactive Site Administrator to join our Finance team, providing administrative and cost reporting support across our live construction sites throughout the Central Belt of Scotland.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely with site management teams, Buyers and our Finance department to ensure project costs are accurately recorded and processed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong relationships and making a real impact on project performance.

This is primarily a site-based role, with occasional travel to our Head Office in Perth

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Collating delivery tickets and timesheets from site and accurately processing information into our COINS cost management system.
    • Maintaining organised site filing systems to ensure records can be easily retrieved when required.
    • Supporting site management teams with the timely submission of project cost information.
    • Assisting with delivery, invoice and supplier queries by liaising with site teams, Buyers and Finance colleagues.
    • Supporting month-end and year-end cost reporting processes.
    • Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure contract costs are accurate and up to date.
    • Assisting with the ongoing development and improvement of our COINS reporting processes.
    • Building strong working relationships across multiple departments and project teams.
    • Ensuring compliance with company Health & Safety procedures and completing company training as required.

    About You:

We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working with a variety of people across different project teams. You'll be confident managing your own workload, able to prioritise effectively and comfortable working to deadlines.

    You'll also have:

    • Experience working in a busy administrative or finance support role.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills.
    • Excellent organisational and attention to detail.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • The ability to build positive working relationships across multiple teams.
    • A proactive and self-motivated approach.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
    • A full UK driving licence.

Experience within construction, civil engineering or a project environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

    What We Offer:

    • Competitive salary.
    • Company vehicle.
    • Business fuel paid.
    • Company pension.
    • Opportunities for training and development.
    • The chance to work alongside experienced teams delivering major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Scotland.
    • A supportive, family-oriented business with over 60 years of industry experience.

If you're looking for a varied role where no two days are the same and enjoy being part of a collaborative team that helps keep projects running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.
