How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: Up to £40,000 Dependant on experience plus Bonus and other Veolia benefits
    Location: Hybrid working - minimum of 3 days per week at our Cannock office (WS11 8JP)
    Hours: 40 hours per week

    What you'll be doing:

    Serve as a key advisor for digital workspace efficiency, presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership to help shape productivity software strategy and investment decisions
    Maintain up to date, expert knowledge of SaaS licensing models, digital workspace practices, and asset methodologies
    Build and maintain strong working relationships with IT departments, Finance, Procurement, and HR teams to align on software changes, leaver processes, and digital workspace initiatives.
    Act as an ambassador for effective digital tool usage, championing data reduction and software optimisation while supporting colleagues through technical transitions.
    Lead and perform the allocation, entitlement tracking, and compliance of core productivity suites (Google Workspace, Adobe, M365, Canva, Atlassian Jira).
    Design and implement processes, utilising automation where possible, for license allocation, entitlement tracking, and leaver license harvesting to prevent waste.
    Proactively monitor, evaluate, and report on tool utilisation metrics, identifying specific opportunities to improve the Digital Employee Experience and streamline workflows.
    Act as the local liaison with the Group Service Delivery and product teams regarding the onboarding, alignment, and evaluation of new productivity or collaboration tools
    Lead Change Management processes relating to workspace software deployment, working with stakeholders to shape decisions on configuration updates and licensing changes that improve user experience and cost efficiency.
    Own the operational tracking, analysis, and forecasting of regional software budgets and operational expenditure, working in tandem with the Head of DEX.
    Identify and eliminate SaaS waste through detailed utilisation analysis, working collaboratively to collaboratively negotiate licensing arrangements and deliver measurable cost savings across the portfolio
    Create and update user guides, documentation, and training materials to help employees maximise the value of collaboration tools and adopt Digital Sobriety habits, as needed.
    Establish and continuously improve compliance and optimisation standards for core collaboration suites, ensuring alignment with Group policies and data protection requirements.
    Stay informed about emerging collaboration technologies and digital sobriety practices, identifying opportunities that could enhance how we work and support our sustainability goalWhat we're looking for:

    Essential

    Strong understanding of SaaS licensing models and entitlement tracking methodologies.
    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain software policies and digital sobriety benefits to non-technical users
    Meticulous attention to detail regarding user accounts and compliance tracking.
    Experience with automated provisioning workflows or software lifecycle processes.
    Functional knowledge of ServiceNow configuration and workflow capabilities to support asset automation, request fulfillment, or CMDB tracking.
    Data analysis and reporting expertise to evaluate tool utilisation and cost-saving opportunities.
    Proficiency in creating high-quality documentation, user guides, and workspace policies
    Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without formal authority across business units.Desirable

    Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; OR proven experience in software asset lifecycle management, digital workplace engineering, or a similar enterprise-level role(s).
    Awareness and certification of ITIL Service Management principles
    Demonstrable experience navigating and administering the admin consoles of major productivity suites (Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365)What's next?
