Reporting to the Director of Sustainability and Corporate Governance you will be responsible for leading and delivering the organisation's health,safety and building strategy. the role ensures fill compliance with UK legislation and industry standards, including IS(phone number removed), the Building safety Act 2022, and BS 5975 (Temporary Works Procedures)
Duties will include:
Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of the ISO 45001 certified OH & S management System
Ensure compliance with all ISO 45001 Clauses, including organisational context and stakeholder engagement, leadership and worker consultation, operational planning and control, management review and continual improvement
Oversee internal and external audits
Maintain document information and compliance recordsBuilding Safety Act 2022 Compliance
Ensure compliance with Building Safety Act 2022
Provide strategic oversight for Higher Risk Buildings
Liaise with the Building Safety regulatorDesignated Individual(DI)
Be responsible for establishing and maintaining the competent temporary works
Approve and monitor register
Promote competency
Audit compliance with BS 5975
Ensure risk assessment's and method statements adequately address temporary worksOther duties will include
Manage the development of Health and Safety Team
Ensure site health and safety and welfare audits
Monitor and bring to the attention of the Director of Sustainability and Corporate Governance any Health,, safety and Welfare media portals including trade papers, websites, journals and similar portals for changes in legislation and innovations and to make other suggestions to improve the safety culture and systems within the company.To be considered for this role you will need to be a Chartered Member of IOSH and have experience in Social Housing both with New Build and Refurbishment.
