How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Own and manage the Perpetual Inventory (P.I.) / cycle counting process, including scheduling, execution, variance investigation, and corrective actions.

    * Investigate stock discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative measures.

    Material Availability & Production Support

    * Work closely with Production Control to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules and kitting requirements.

    * Proactively identify potential material shortages or risks and communicate these to relevant stakeholders.

    * Support kitting activities by ensuring material availability, correct quantities, and accurate system status.

    Purchasing & Supplier Interface

    * Liaise with Purchasing to support purchase order accuracy, lead times, and delivery performance.

    * Monitor overdue, late, or incomplete deliveries and escalate risks where required.

    * Support resolution of receipt discrepancies, including quantity, condition, and documentation issues.

    Stakeholder Communication & Engagement

    * Act as a key point of contact between Stores, Purchasing, and Production Control.

    * Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams regarding material status, priorities, and constraints.

    * Challenge poor practices constructively and escalate issues where necessary.

    Safety

    * Safety must always be a prime consideration, and you are required to ensure that the safety of people, the environment and our products are never compromised

    Essential:

    Systems & Data Control

    * Proven experience working with inventory control systems, ideally Sage 200 with Sicon modules.

    * Strong understanding of stock transactions, including receipts, issues, adjustments, and stock movements.

    * Ability to interpret system data to identify discrepancies, shortages, and trends.

    Stock Control & Inventory Accuracy

    * Demonstrable experience in stock control, including cycle counting / perpetual inventory.

    * Strong understanding of stores procedures, location control, and material traceability.

    * Experience investigating and resolving stock variances, with a structured root‑cause approach.

    Cross‑Functional Engagement

    * Ability to work closely with Purchasing, Production Control, and Stores to ensure material availability and accurate planning.

    * Confident communicating stock constraints, risks, and priorities to internal stakeholders.

    * Experience balancing service levels with adherence to process and controls.

    Planning, Organisation & Prioritisation

    * Ability to work proactively and methodically to time‑bound targets.

    * Strong organisational skills to manage competing demands and shifting priorities.

    * Capable of maintaining control and accuracy in a fast‑paced environment.

    Numeracy & Attention to Detail

    * Confident working with quantities, units of measure, and stock values.

    * High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling material data and transactions.

    Desirable:

    Quality & Management Systems

Awareness of ISO 9001 quality management systems and the importance of traceability and documented processes.

Experience working within regulated industries (e.g. Rail, Defence, Aerospace).

Practical experience using Microsoft Excel (filters, pivot tables, basic formulas).

    Manufacturing / Production Environment

Experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment, supporting production schedules and kitting.

Understanding of material planning, shortages, and production impact.

    Continuous Improvement:

Familiarity with cycle count accuracy KPIs and corrective action tracking.

Understanding of warehouse layout optimisation and material presentation.
