How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction consultancy where you'll receive hands-on training, real project responsibility and mentoring from experienced Directors. Whether you're a recent graduate or have gained some practical Quantity Surveying or construction experience, this role offers an excellent platform to develop your career.

Are you looking to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying within a supportive, close-knit team? Do you have a Quantity Surveying degree or some practical experience within construction or commercial projects? Do you want to learn from experienced professionals while working on a diverse range of high-quality developments?

This specialist construction consultancy delivers bespoke Quantity Surveying and Cost Consultancy services across high-end residential, commercial, student accommodation and leisure projects. Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle, receiving one-to-one support while developing the technical and commercial skills needed to become a successful Quantity Surveyor.

You will support Senior Quantity Surveyors across multiple live projects, assisting with cost planning, tendering, valuations, financial reporting and client liaison. Working closely with experienced Directors, you'll gain practical experience from project inception through to final account, with increasing responsibility as your confidence and ability develop.

This role would suit someone with a Quantity Surveying degree or early construction experience who is keen to learn, listens well and enjoys working within a smaller business where everyone contributes. The business is looking for someone who wants to develop their skills, become a valued member of the team and build a long-term career.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a consultancy that genuinely invests in its people. You'll receive ongoing mentoring, exposure to a wide variety of projects and the chance to develop into a confident, well-rounded Quantity Surveyor while enjoying the benefits of working within a supportive and ambitious team.

    The Role:

Supporting Senior Quantity Surveyors across residential, commercial and student accommodation projects
Assisting with cost planning, tendering, valuations and financial reporting
Attending client meetings and site visits while learning every stage of the Quantity Surveying process
Developing alongside experienced Directors with increasing responsibility
    The Person:

Quantity Surveying degree or some practical Quantity Surveying/construction experience
Strong communication, numeracy and problem-solving skills
Eager to learn and build a long-term career
Organised, proactive and enjoys working within a small team
