How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A well-established architectural practice is seeking a driven, talented, and adaptable Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join its dynamic team. The practice works across a diverse and impactful portfolio, including healthcare, education, social housing, public sector, and residential developments, alongside occasional interior design projects.

This position is ideal for a professional who thrives on variety, possesses strong technical skills in Revit and AutoCAD, and is eager to gain hands-on experience across all project stages—from initial concepts to on-site delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Design & Detail: Assist the architectural team in developing scheme designs through to detailed design stages, producing comprehensive working drawing packages for tender and construction.

    * Planning & Building Control: Prepare Planning and Building Regulations drawings using Revit and AutoCAD; submit applications and resolve queries with building control bodies.

    * Collaboration & Coordination: Liaise with internal cross-disciplinary teams, external consultants, sub-contractors, and specialist suppliers to ensure fully integrated technical documentation.

    * Surveys & Site Delivery: Conduct measured building surveys and support the Project Architect during the construction phase, including attending site meetings.

    * Job Running & Specification: Draft technical specifications and, under supervision, take responsibility for day-to-day job running on designated projects.

    * Risk & Quality Management: Participate in regular project reviews to maximize delivery standards and implement measures to identify, manage, and minimize project risks.

    Requirements & Essential Attributes

    * Technical Skills: Strong IT skills with proven experience using Revit and AutoCAD. (Interior design capability is a welcome advantage).

    * Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective team working and stakeholder liaison.

    * Work Ethic: Confident working independently using personal initiative while remaining a collaborative team member.

    * Career Drive: Highly motivated to learn, take on responsibility, and actively manage professional development.

    * Eligibility: Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

    What the Practice Offers

    * Diverse Portfolio: Exposure to a wide range of public and private sector projects.

    * Professional Growth: Opportunities for job-running, site involvement, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

    * Inclusive Environment: A supportive culture committed to equality, diversity, and continuous improvement.

    How to Apply

Interested candidates are invited to submit an up-to-date CV and portfolio highlighting relevant Revit and AutoCAD project experience
