How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are recruiting on behalf of a growing organisation operating within the engineering and construction sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to join a fast-paced project environment supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the flow, accuracy and integrity of project documentation throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring information is controlled, compliant and readily accessible to internal and external stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    Establish and maintain project document control systems in accordance with company and client procedures.
    Register, issue, track and archive all project documentation, including drawings, RFIs, technical submittals, transmittals and correspondence.
    Manage document revision control, ensuring only current revisions are available for use.
    Coordinate document review and approval workflows, monitoring progress and following up outstanding actions.
    Maintain document registers, transmittal logs and status reports.
    Review documentation for quality, completeness and compliance before issue.
    Ensure documentation complies with contractual requirements, project naming conventions and information management protocols.
    Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to resolve document-related queries.
    Support project handover by compiling operation and maintenance manuals, as-built documentation and handover records.
    Maintain confidentiality of project information and support internal and external audits.
    Skills & Experience

    Previous experience in a Document Controller role within construction, engineering, manufacturing or a related industry.
    Experience using Document Management Systems
    Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
    Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
    Ability to manage large volumes of documentation while working to deadlines.
    Understanding of construction and engineering documentation processes, including drawings, RFIs, submittals and transmittals.
