How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are a trusted manufacturer, suppling into the Defence sector supply chain, and we are seeking experienced and driven Quality Inspector to join our team in Worcestershire. In this role, you will perform inspection activities, support managers in solving production challenges, and make sure every product meets the highest standards. Your work will directly support projects that matter; from National Defence, and other industries which rely on safety-critical products and components.
This is a stable, full-time role offering competitive pay, training, and the opportunity to develop your career with a forward-thinking engineering company.
We are more than just an engineering company - we are a trusted manufacturer within a diverse supply chain. The work we do has a real impact, supporting the UK's defence capability and other critical industries, including Rail, Automotive, and Agriculture.

If you're someone who takes pride in getting things right, you will feel at home with us
Every product you inspect will be part of something important; from defence projects to safety-critical systems.
You will be trusted to use your skills and judgement, not just tick boxes
You won't be stuck in a corner; you will be mobile, working closely with managers and colleagues to solve problems, keep production flowing, and drive improvements
And because we are a trusted manufacturer into the Defence sector supply chain, you will be joining a business that offers long-term security and stability
As a Quality Inspector, you will be making sure the parts we manufacture and procure are as they should be, from first-off inspection to final verification.
    Your role will include:
Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections using precision metrology equipment including: verniers, height-gauges, multi-axis Measurement Arms
Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer quality requirements
Complete and support First Article Inspection (FAI) reports
Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and investigate customer concerns
Maintain accurate inspection and calibration records in line with national standards
Driving continuous improvement across the business
    Assist management with:
Maintaining production throughput, meeting customer demand
Identifying and addressing 'bottlenecks' affecting smooth operations
Training shop-floor personnel on quality requirements and standards
    Skills
Experience in a quality inspection and / or technician role
Confident with selection and use of measuring equipment i.e., verniers, height gauges, multi-axis Measurement Arm
Ability to interpret technical / engineering drawings
Knowledge of management systems, i.e., ISO 9001, 3834, AS 9100 (AS9102), or other
Appreciation and awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental practices
A confident communicator who can work well with managers, customers, and colleagues
Someone with a keen eye for detail
This is a career opportunity with an employer of choice in Worcestershire !
