How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description
Step into a role where your skills make a real difference. As a TIG Welder (141) with a trusted manufacturer into the Defence sector supply chain, you'll be working on safety-critical aluminium and stainless-steel fabrications for projects that protect lives and support national defence.
This is not just another welding job; it's an opportunity to apply your expertise in a highly regulated, precision-driven environment, where every weld must meet the strictest international standards. We'll invest in keeping your certifications current, give you access to challenging projects, and offer the stability of a long-term career in defence engineering.

We're more than just an engineering company - we're a trusted manufacturer within a diverse supply chain. The work we do has a real impact, supporting the UK's defence capability and other critical industries such as Rail, Automotive, and Agriculture.
We take pride in our reputation for precision and reliability. From our modern facility in Worcestershire, our team uses the latest fabrication, inspection, and assembly equipment to deliver products that meet the highest standards.

    Duties
Perform TIG (141) welding on aluminium fabrications ranging from 1.5mm - 30mm
Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
Set up and operate TIG welding equipment safely and effectively
Conduct visual inspection of welds to BS EN ISO 17673:2022 standards
Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Continue internal and external training to maintain qualification to BS EN ISO 9606

    Essential skills
Proven experience with TIG (141) welding aluminium
Experience working to certified or highly regulated standards
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to fine tolerances
    Good organisational and problem-solving skills

    Desirable:
Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Motorsport, or similar industries
    Previous coding to ISO 9606-1/2
NVQ/City & Guilds in welding, fabrication, or a relevant engineering subject

This is a career opportunity with an employer of choice in Worcestershire
