The role
As an Account Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering transport solutions for customers with complex logistics requirements.
Working closely with customers, transport partners and internal teams, you will manage every stage of the process, from quotation through to delivery, ensuring each solution is commercially viable, operationally efficient, and delivered to the highest standard.
This is far more than a booking or administration role. You will analyse customer requirements, solve logistical challenges, influence key stakeholders, and develop tailored transport solutions that deliver the best outcome for everyone involved.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing customer enquiries and developing tailored logistics solutions.
Producing accurate and commercially competitive quotations.
Sourcing and negotiating with transport providers across the United Kingdom and Europe.
Managing consignments from quotation through to successful delivery.
Monitoring live movements and resolving operational issues before they impact customers.
Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and transport partners.
Influencing internal teams and external providers to achieve the best possible outcome.
Identifying opportunities to improve operational processes through technology and automation.
Supporting the continued development of innovative logistics solutions.The candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have experience within transport, logistics or freight forwarding and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
You will also have:
Experience within transport, logistics or freight forwarding.
A strong understanding of road freight operations across the United Kingdom and Europe.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
The ability to influence customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Strong commercial awareness.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
