The Role
* Operating manual lathes and/or milling machines
* Manufacturing one-off and small batch precision components
* Working from detailed engineering drawings to tight tolerances
* Carrying out manual machining operations including turning, milling, drilling and boring
* Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Working independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience as a Manual Turner, Manual Miller, or Manual Machinist
* Strong manual machining skills within a precision engineering environment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working to tight tolerances
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
