How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The role – leading electrical engineering delivery across complex projects

    As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take a lead role in the delivery of electrical design projects, supervising engineers and ensuring the successful technical execution of electrical engineering solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality and cost-effective outcomes.

    Key responsibilities
    Lead and mentor electrical engineers and designers, ensuring high standards of technical delivery
    Oversee the development and selection of electrical systems, including control and distribution schemes
    Ensure project deliverables are completed to schedule and within budget
    Prepare, review and maintain electrical engineering design documentation
    Evaluate vendor documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications
    Manage electrical engineering activities within Project Management Consultancy (PMC) projects
    Support bid development through the preparation of man-hour estimates and material take-offs
    Carry out engineering analysis, design specification work and procedural development to support successful project delivery What we’re looking for
    Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
    Extensive experience within the oil and gas or petrochemical sectors
    Proficiency in electrical design software such as PTW, Trimble, DIALux and StrikeRisk
    Strong knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards and best practice
    Experience working with overseas clients and external design houses
